DHT 22/AM2302 Digital Temperature and Humidity Sensor
The DHT22, also known as AM2302, is a high-performance digital temperature and humidity sensor widely used in various applications that require accurate and reliable environmental monitoring. This sensor is capable of measuring temperature in the range of -40°C to +80°C with an accuracy of ±0.5°C and humidity in the range of 0-100% RH with an accuracy of ±2-5% RH. The DHT22/AM2302 sensor operates on the principle of capacitive humidity sensing and thermistor-based temperature measurement. It features a digital output, which makes it easy to interface with microcontrollers and other digital systems, including popular platforms like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and others. The sensor communicates via a single-wire (one-wire) protocol, reducing the number of GPIO pins required and simplifying the wiring.
